Cassidy Tareaux is currently the thirtieth ranked student within the Venterrus Flight Institute's first-year class. She is one of the ten known witches that attend the Institute and is the only other witch in her class next to Valerie.

Cassidy possesses the ability to manipulate cards of all types. She can create different types of cards magically at varying sizes to either attack or defend with. She can generate blank cards to either trap her opponents inside until she feels it is necessary to free them or use as a portal to anywhere in the Magic Dimension, so long as she has been there before. She can also use these blank cards to send voice-recorded messages.
Cassidy mainly has the ability to freely manipulate tarot cards and her power source, the Mystic Fortune, allows her to take on the magical potential hidden within each of the tarot cards. For instance, if Cassidy were to bind herself to The High Priestess card, she would be given the additional powers of healing and aura reading. While she can become exponentially stronger depending on whichever card she has bound herself to, her Mystic Fortune is extremely limited. Cassidy can only bind herself down to a tarot card if the spirit within the card trusts her enough, and she can only do so one tarot card per day. There is also the cost of Cassidy's own personality as whenever she binds herself to a tarot card, she is essentially forcing the spirit within the card to meld with her own. This can cause the two spirits (or three in the case of The Lovers) to engage in a power-struggle over Cassidy's body, which can make it seem as if she has multiple personalities. Even though she does not use them much, Cassidy can also bind herself to cards within the Minor Arcana. She can also bestow a card's abilities to another person, however, she rarely does so as the limits she faces with her Mystic Fortune also apply towards other people.
Cassidy may also have the ability to control veils and fabrics, which can be seen whenever she uses the shawl she wears as a second pair of arms.

- The name Cassidy is an Irish name that can mean clever or curly-haired. It derives from the Gaelic name Caiside which also shares the same two meanings.
- Her surname, Tareaux, is a play on the word tarot.
- Cassidy is heavily inspired by Lisa Lisa, a character from the second part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency.
