Early Life[]
In 1958, Nikolaus “Klaus” Alexander Wolf II was born in Mountain View to Dr. Miakoda “Koda” Wolf, an astrophysicist and member of the Wiyot Tribe on her mother's side and the Inuit Tribe on her father's side, and Dr. Richard “Rick” Wolf, a German biologist, and was named after his great grandfather. His mother was killed when he was very young, having been stuck by a tired driver. The tired driver was never charged, and his father was left to raise him alone for many years. They traveled around, living in several states, for his father's work. They spent much of this time hiking around the states. The two of them also enjoyed hunting together whenever they could.
When he was ten, his father met Roxanne, who Klaus loved dearly, and they later married. She had a daughter from a previous relationship, and Klaus took to being a big brother with joy. They settled down with Roxanne out in the boonies of Louisiana, and Rick and Roxanne would end up having two more children together, Maria and Astra.
When he was fifteen [Redacted].
Growing up, he had both male and female romantic partners. His family was supportive, with his father commenting, "Your grandfather would be furious", which is a good thing in their family, but he had to hide his sexuality from the general public. This wasn't particularly new to the family, as they had to keep it quiet that they were Children of Mjora.
As an adult, Klaus joined the Marines as a Sniper Scout. In basic training, his beard grew so quickly that by midday, he would have noticeable stubble, resulting in his drill sergeant yelling at him for not shaving. One time during a scouting mission, he and his unit [Redacted].[Redacted]. He eventually became a drill sergeant so he wouldn't have to kill anyone else.
He left the forces some time before 1994. When he got out, he decided to move to Gardenia, a town within the Wiyot tribal land, so he could get closer to that side of himself. He was also able to live openly as a bi man and as a Mjoraist due to the Children of Mjora having a majority presence in the city.
Klaus' father passed away in 1994, a loss Klaus did not take well. He decided to hike the Sierras to get his head on straight, which is where he met his wife, [Redacted]. [Redacted]. [Redacted]. [Redacted]. They married and had a child together. The two of them decided to name their baby after their mothers. Klaus loved his biological mother, but he named the baby after the woman that raised him, Roxanne, and [Redacted].
[Redacted] wasn't such a huge fan of the city, it was too loud, too bright, and smelled bad, so they decided to move out to the woods. That's also when they adopted Phobos and Deimos to be guard dogs and Artu to be a hunting dog. It was also around this time when the courthouse burned down, destroying their marriage documents.
Roxy was diagnosed with celiac disease when she was a year old. Klaus already had basic cooking and baking knowledge taught to him by Roxanne, but after Roxy's diagnosis, he dove into researching everything he could about baking, specifically gluten-free baking. He was determined to make sure Roxy wouldn't be deprived of a life filled with birthday cakes and cookies. [Redacted], and he became very proficient at baking with potato flour, even making homemade potato flour and growing potatoes in his yard. He can also make rice flour at home (a surprisingly simple process) and did lots of experimenting to figure out what flours work best for different types of recipes.

One day, Klaus and his wife decided to go on a hiking trip, but their peaceful day was interrupted when they were attacked by [Redacted]. Klaus took Roxy and ran to safety as [Redacted] fought of [Redacted]. He found another family walking a trail and passed Roxy off to them and ran back to help his wife. He [Redacted] and [Redacted], but [Redacted].
He woke up in the hospital two days later, having been beaten to within an inch of his life. According to the doctors, he suffered brain damage during the attack, and that, mixed with the psychological trauma, is why he can't remember his wife. He didn't believe them. His memory loss of his wife was too specific and thorough, but he didn't have a better explanation. Police got involved, but they couldn't even figure out who they were looking for.
Life after the Attack[]
Roxanne came to live with Klaus and Roxy for a while, helping him recover and adjust to being a single father, but she had a life back in Louisiana that she eventually had to return to. Being a single father wasn't easy, especially to a girl with special needs, but he would always remind himself that his dad did a good job with him, and if his father could do it, so could he.
When Roxy was five, Klaus began noticing that she had some odd behaviors, mainly not responding to her name and severe auditory sensitivity. He brought his concerns up with Gena, a child psychiatrist, and she agreed that she should be tested. After going through multiple doctors and fighting to be taken seriously, Roxy was finally diagnosed with autism shortly after her sixth birthday.
Later that year, she was enrolled in Luna Winfree Private School, a school known for its special needs program. On her first day, he was called in because of her "dyed hair". He had to come in with one of her baby photos to prove her hair wasn't dyed, and that's when he met a woman he knows as Willow Carter. She was a woman in a very similar predicament to him, recently lost their wife, family lives far away, and now has to raise a special needs girl on their own. They bonded over this and even attempted a romantic relationship that went nowhere. He attempted to find love again a couple more times, but he always felt like he was betraying his wife.
When Roxy was ten, Klaus brought her on her first hunting trip, but the sound of his M40 was highly destressing to her. This prompted him to look into bow hunting, and he tried to learn how to use a bow but quickly found that he was really bad at using a bow. Roxy, on the other hand, showed a great aptitude for the bow and quickly learned how to hunt like their ancestors. Klaus, still wanting to hunt with his daughter, began looking into other weapons and found that he had a much easier time with a crossbow. The next time they went hunting, Roxy had a much better time.
In 2010, Roxanne passed away, adding another name to the list of people Klaus has lost.
Personality[]
Klaus is very protective about anything related to his daughter. At times, he is frustrated by her constant habit of picking up stray pets but he often lets it slide as he is just as compassionate as his daughter for animals. His time as a drill sergeant has imbued his already playful nature with a penchant for scaring and messing with people. One thing he would do is call people by the wrong name or give them the most embarrassing nicknames. He continues this into his civilian life, like calling the specialists: "Smile", "Brandi", "Rivet", "Booboo" and "Tobias". While he is strict at times he is caring to anyone he considers family. He can also be very stubborn and persistent, managing to get doctors to take his suspicions seriously and diagnose Roxy despite the difficulties of getting a young girl diagnosed with autism (or anything really).
As kind and caring as he is, he is still a soldier. His father taught him how to shut off his emotions and become a monster. As much as he doesn't like it, he is very capable of killing, especially if they pose a threat to his family. He also has no patience for people that put other's lives in danger through their selfish actions and a general distrust of the legal system, viewing it as incompetent, not a sentiment that was improved by being raised by Roxanne.

Phobos and Deimos are Kangal shepherds that Klaus trained to guard the family and their livestock. Both dogs were affected by the [Redacted], causing them to grow abnormally large at 35 inches and 150 pounds of muscles. [Redacted]. They are [Redacted].

Klaus has long brown hair, reaching down to his upper back, with blond tips and styled into dread braids. He also has a full beard, giving him a bit of a maned look. He has tanned complexion and gray-blue eyes that he inherited from his mother. He has well-defined cheek bones and jawline, a well-built body that consists of strong arms and legs along with a very muscular torso. He is well over six feet tall and has several tattoos on his arms, giving him an intimidating presence. He is quite hairy, which earned him his nickname of "Werewolf".

Marine[]
As a Marine Corps Scout Sniper, Klaus was trained to survive on his own, how to hide from the enemies, and to gather information for the infantry. Due to his religious beliefs, he preferred being a scout over being a sniper, but if it would prevent a larger number of people from dying and help protect his country, he would give his enemies a quick death.
He was also given extensive hand-to-hand and knife combat training in the Marines, and when he left, he expanded his combat abilities by learning more grappling and non-lethal take-downs. He's also just an absolute unit of a human being.

- 'Klaus' is an abbreviation of the name 'Nikolaus', the German version of the name 'Nicholas', itself derived from the Greek name 'Nikolaos', meaning "Victory of the People".
