Skai Heracklyon, also known as King Skai, is one of the major characters of TWCC. As the sole heir of the king and queen, Skai has inherited the kingdom of Heracklyon despite his hangups about it.
Skai is an alumna of Fonterossa and a full-fledged Specialist. He was the leader/ace of his group, noted for his versatility as a combat warrior, tech-support specialist and strategist. His best friends are Bloom and Brandohn, and his current diplomatic marriage partner is called Asahi.
APPEARANCE[]
Skai is seen as attractive but in a way that usually appeals more to fairies than witches. He is not particularly tall but his physique is broad and muscular. He has bright blond hair and medium-toned, clear skin. Apart from its natural patterns, Skai's skin is quite clear, save for an old scar across the hip from being attacked as a preteen. He usually pins his hair up — sometimes with Brandohn's help — when engaging in Specialist work.

Skai rarely dresses like a typical prince. His style is extremely casual. No accessories. No pizzazz. Just clothes. His blue colour palette is mostly consistent and he develops a thing for denim.

Skai's core colour is dodger blue , so his uniform gems and weapons tend to reflect this. However, there's sometimes other shades of blue and oranges in his colour scheme.
PERSONALITY[]
On the surface, Skai comes across as a "golden child" who evolves into a "pure-hearted king" when he gets older. He is attractive, trained in proper etiquette, an all-rounder Specialist, and academically gifted. He is also a leader among his peers and possesses a strong sense of duty. However, his outward geniality and responsible nature belie his internal struggles. In reality, Skai is a young man who feels effectively caged in by his circumstances. As a child, a near-death experience with assassins completely disenchanted him with the idea of inheriting Heracklyon. The event instilled a great sense of misery and trauma in his 11-year-old self which led to his aversion to the throne. This is further exacerbated by the spasmodic assassination and kidnapping attempts that spread to Magix and begin to affect his friends. Despite his desire to be free from the burden, Skai has been thoroughly indoctrinated to put Heraklyon above everything else. As a result, he is often torn between what he wants and what is expected of him, which can make him seem wishy-washy sometimes. More times than not, however, his sense of duty wins out. This is something Skai never really overcomes, ultimately resigning himself to marrying for political reasons despite trying to avoid that very outcome. Skai dislikes dwelling on negative emotions that pertain to his background. He is often evasive of such topics, opting to hide behind what Brandohn calls his "Everything is fine" smile.
In spite of his generally courteous mannerisms, Skai can be disagreeable. Though never intentional, he is at times oblivious and, consequently, a bit insensitive. This trait tends to come out with regards to Diaspro.
He can also be defiant and unfriendly. Initially, he butts heads with Riven — partly because he was frustrated by his inability to win him over with kindness, and partly because his learned sense of pride dictated that he not back down from a fight. Skai also had a period of "soft rebellion", beginning when he convinced his father to let him train with others outside of Heracklyon. This was a covert attempt to escape the isolation and dangers of his environment. He goes on to break off his long-standing engagement with Diaspro to be with someone he actually had romantic feelings for. Then, even after his private coronation, he puts off an official enthronement in favour of finishing his Specialist training. Later on, prompted by the stress of a burgeoning war on Heracklyon, Skai develops a stony demeanour to hide his frustration, sadness and anger. It is said to be the only time he truly resembles his father.

Skai does not gravitate to any one area of expertise, but he is perfectly competent in all Specialist areas. Ultimately, he is good at everything but the best at nothing. This makes him useful in most scenarios. Ironically, his lack of specialization is precisely what makes him "The Ace".

- High Intuition: Skai has an higher than average "danger sense" that allows him to feel when something is awry. He is, however, unable to pinpoint what exactly will go wrong — just that something will. As such, he can at least try to adapt to the situation.

- Skai likes all shades of blue.
- He has a dog named Lady that is, ironically, male.
- Occasionally, when extremely stressed, Skai experiences debilitating phantom pains in his hip scar.
- Skai is "bad at crying". Even when emotionally overwhelmed and on the brink, he finds it hard to shed tears. Prior to a private breakdown in the midst of the Heracklyon war, the last time he had really cried was after the assassination attempt when he was eleven.

Skai’s name is a reference to his bright blue eyes, angelic aura and regality. It also represents his instinctive evasiveness of things he doesn't want to think or talk about, as well as his occasional indecisiveness. Because of these things, his true feelings/intentions don't always come across clearly, making him somewhat "translucent" and hard to see — even with his usually earnest attitude.
- On a general level, the name Skai is a reflection of how his monarchy status gives him the ability to overshadow the other Specialists — whether or not he intends to. “Prince Skai” has always been the leader of the group. When Brandohn was disguised as him, he was regarded as the unofficial leader. When Skai retook his title, he gradually took on a leadership role. In this way, the name Skai represents privilege and “the upper limit” in terms of abilities. This is one of the things that initially makes Riven fight so desperately to beat "Skai".
