Biography[]
Early Life[]
Tecna was born on Zenith to Magnethia and Electronio. Her relationship with her parents is complicated. She wants to love her parents, but with them actively rejecting a large part of her, it's hard to. Due to the harsh conditions of their planet, Zenithian society has developed a rigid culture. They view logic as the key to their survival and emotions as a hindrance. Magnethia and Electronio fully boughtintothis ideology and despise Tecna's emotional side. They would tell her to not use her magic in public or around them. They viewed childish things as a waste of time, even the videogames Tecna would make as a kid, They went so far as throwing away her favorite toy, solidifying her resolve to get away from them.
In school, she showed a strong magical aptitude, which got her admitted to Alfea.
First Year at Alfea[]
During the move in period, she met her dome mates and her roommate, Musa, who introduced herself by asking Stella to warn them next time she plans on blowing something up. They all decide to celebrate the coming school year by spending a day out in Magix City. While ordering their food, "Veranda" tried to use her cell phone, but it would not work. Tecna took it and laughed at the "ancient technology". She realized that was rude, and to apologize, she allowed Bloom to borrow her card to call her mother. While waiting for "Veranda" to return from her phone call with her mother, Flora wondered why she had taken so long, so they began looking for her. They eventually finds Bloom frozen in ice and fight against the Trix. The Trix, far more experienced than she and her new friends, easily overpower them, and just as Icy was about to deal a powerful blow, Stella teleported them away to safety. As Stella warmed Bloom up with her sun powers, the disguise charm began malfunctioning, causing the disguise to flicker, revealing her to not be Veranda.
A few days later, the school held their back to school dance. As they were trying on their dresses for the dance, the girls were talking about the Specialists being there, and Tecna commented about not caring about boys. When Musa questioned her about dressing like an "absolute diva" if she didn't plan on impressing a boy, Tecna stated that it was besides the point and "if you attend a ceremony, you dress accordingly". Later, Bloom alerted the group to the Trix casting a spell on the Specialists' gift. She mentioned something called [snake-rats], and Tecna pulled up the information on them. The team found the gift as the Specialists were bringing them out. They came together to cast a counter spell, saving the day before anyone knew what was happening.
That night, after the Trix attacked Bloom, the girls realized that they were a real threat to them and, for whatever reason, wanted Stella's ring. The girls agreed to help protect each other and Stella's ring. Bloom then suggests that they needed a name, putting forwards "the Winx". Tecna agreed, stating that it's good for a quick reference. The rest of the girls agreed, and all but Stella agreed on "the Winx". Tecna then questioned what it meant as her translator only provided a phonetic translation, and Bloom admitted that it didn't mean anything but they could make it mean something. And the girls officially formed the Winx.
The coming days, the girls were brought out to Black-Mud swamp for a survival exercise. During their exercise, they spotted a Red Fountain ship crash and went to check it out, where they found "Brandon" and his team and get into an argument with them. They realized the troll escaped, and the girls decided to join the boys in the search. They heard screaming and found the troll attacking the other Alfea students. They devised a plan of attack and went to capture the troll. The Winx insulted and distracted the troll, and the Specialists attempted to cuff the troll, but it threw them off and disappeared into the woods, where they were unable to locate it.
The Winx were assigned to help make dinner, but Stella got invited on a date with "Sky" so wouldn't be able to help them with the meal. They returned to Stella's room to help her get dressed, where Tecna found one Stella's homemade dresses, teasing her about leaving a lasting impression. Later, Musa, Bloom, and Tecna talked about dating, and Bloom recommended Tecna try it. Tecna was resistant to the idea, calling it an "experience of irrelevant value".
The next morning, the girls were all awoken by loud noises coming from Stella's room. When they tried to figure out what was going on, Stella brushed them off, leaving them confused and offended, but they decided to leave her be, but when Stella didn't come to class, they began getting worried. Bloom left to go check on her, and a few minutes later, she called the rest of the girls back to their room. They found their rooms completely trashed by Stella, and when they were trying to figure out why, Tecna theorized that her date with Sky must've sent her into dizzy mode.
The girls began searching for answers, heading to Red Fountain to talk to Sky. While there, Sky's slikehound (insectoid dog-like creature) jumped on Tecna. They couldn't find answers at Red Fountain, so they headed to Magix. Tecna searched the local net for the Black Lagoon but couldn't find any results. They then began asking around, but nobody heard of it, until a man approached them with information on where to find it. The girls headed to the Black Lagoon, only to be ambushed by the Trix. They held Stella hostage, forcing Bloom to hand over the Solarian Ring. The girls lamented their loss, and Tecna chastised Bloom for giving up, saying that she wasn't the boss. Flora defended Bloom's actions. The girls returned to Alfea, determined to get Stella's ring back.
The girls spent the next few days researching the ring, trying to figure out why the witches wanted it, and they learned that it was created from the fire of the Great Dragon. They didn't understand what it all meant, but they knew it was important, so the girls formulated a plan to get Stella's ring back. Under the cover of darkness, they used the tunnels under the school to sneak into Cloud Tower. They snuck into the witches' room and found Stella's ring. Getting out proved to be more difficult, and they were caught.
The teachers wouldn't hear their perfectly reasonable explanation of avoiding an international incident, and they were punished by having their powers taken away and being forced to clean the castle. Griselda also forbade Tecna from using her gadgets, and the Winx teased her by saying that by Tecna's standards she is showing too much emotion. Tecna admitted to them that ever since she met them, she easily lost control of her emotions, earning her the nickname of 'Spock' from Bloom, and after Tecna expressed confusion about the name, Bloom decided that she needed to introduce her to Star Trek.
The Winx called the boys to make the job go faster and alleviate the boredom, turning it into a party. Tecna and Timmy spent most of the party together, both being awkward around each other, but as the party went on, she began to realize she was developing feelings for him.
The Trix crashed the party, summoning their Whisperian Crystals to search for the Dragon Flame and summoning the Whip to detract the Winx as they searched the school. The girls used their wits and soap to knock out the beast, but the castle was trashed. Even though the castle was in worse shape than it was that morning, Griselda was impressed with their handling of the situation without magic and returned their powers to them.
During the Day of the Rose, Tecna returned home to be with her mother.
Dragon Flame[]
Bloom came to Tecna about some dreams she was having and asked her if she could analyze them. After the analysis, Tecna explained that the woman in her dreams was trying to give her a message. Stella then interrupted and told Bloom that she's blowing her situation out of proportion in a way that sounded insensitive, angering Bloom. Bloom stormed off, and Musa and Tecna take Stella back to their room to chastise her behavior. Stella teased Musa about Riven, which upset Musa and caused her to run off to Magix. The Winx and Specialists arrived in Magix and found Musa being chased by witches. They jump into the fray and got Musa out of there.
The Winx had a test in the simulator room. They were all nervous, so Bloom volunteered to go first. Tecna told her to not mess up as her form of encouragement. When the Trix attacked, the girls wanted to go in and help her, but the Trix had damaged the simulator, making entering or leaving the simulation impossible until it was fixed. Luckily, Bloom defeated the Trix on her own and crashed the simulator, freeing herself.
Flora began asking her friends to store some of her projects in their room, and thinking that they were just regular plants, they allowed it. They soon found out they weren't normal planets, and the ones in Tecna's room ate her homework and tied her up in her closet. When she was found and freed, she demanded to know what seeds those were. When Flora admitted it was a known hazardous species, Tecna shouted at her. The girls complained, aside from Bloom and Musa, that they did not like the fact that Flora had spread her plants around their dorm, causing Flora to leave for Black Mud Swamp to perform her experiments where they will not bother anyone. Bloom tried to convince her that it was dangerous to no avail and decided to follow her, prompting the others to follow.
When the Winx got to Black Mud Swamp to make sure Flora would be okay, they ended up helping her find a flower she needed, bringing them to the undine. The undine asked for the Winx's help in dealing with a dangerous creature that was threatening their people and their ability to get building materials for their homes in exchange for finding the flower for Flora. The girls went searching for the creature and found the small island the undine get their materials from inside a small lake. Stella thought she heard something but Tecna said she didn't hear anything. The creature then popped out of the water, startling the girls. It grabbed Musa in its mouth and retreated back into the water. The Winx used the air bubble method they learned from the water nymphs and dived down. Tecna, Flora, and Stella distracted the creature while Bloom extracted Musa.
Once Musa was free, the girls retreated to the island to rest and recover and also began searching it. As they walk about the island, the girls slowly started to fall asleep, except for Tecna. Flora pointed out the lovely smell that was in the air, and Tecna analyzed the air content only to find that it was sleeping gas. She urged the girls to stay awake, but it was not possible. Bloom was the last to fall asleep, and she called out for Tecna. Tecna caught her before she could fall, and Bloom pointed to a tree, the Red Willow, before falling asleep. Tecna then made an oxygen bubble with a hole to let the gas escape. Bloom woke up and added her magic to make the bubble larger. The bubble extended far enough to wake up the others. Then they all used their magic together to enlarge the circle even more and woke up the missing undine. The undine told the girls the truth of the island, it was a giant turtle that's been sleepwalking for eons due to the Red Willow. The Red Willow attacked the bubble and broke it. The girls were able to burn and dispel the tree's magic, destroying the Red Willow and purifying the air. They returned the missing undine and completed their mission.
Flora, Tecna and Musa all passed their midterms, and the school went on break.
When the girls returned from break, the girls were put through a exam, which Tecna passed. The next day, the girls all noticed that Bloom hadn't returned last night. Musa and Tecna searched everywhere, even asking Brandon, though he says he dropped her off at Alfea, but couldn't find her anywhere in the school. They then began searching the forest, figuring that it would be worse if she was lost out there and so they should check there first, and found her and a young witch named Mirta being attacked by the Trix. The Winx and Mirta combat the Trix, but Icy spitefully turned Mirta into a pumpkin, angering Bloom enough to unleash her full powers. Having won the battle but suffering a hard blow, the girls reunited and returned to the school with Mirta in hopes she could be freed.
After class with Professor Wizgiz, Tecna, Stella, Musa, and Flora were in their dorm common area as Flora tried to free Mirta from her pumpkin prison. When she and Musa got into an argument, Kiko tried to chop Mirta, but Tecna warned him not to even try. Bloom then came into the room and presented the group with a envelope containing the answers to the next day's quiz that the professor had apparently dropped. They placed the envelope on a coffee table and all sit around it, contemplating on what to do with it. Tecna reasoned that cheating is not the answer. The girls were unable to come to a consensus before getting tired and put the letter away for the night.
The next morning, when Bloom was called into Ms. Faragonda's office, they all began to panic, and when she got back, the girls bombarded her with questions, but she assured them that it had nothing to do with the envelop. Even with Bloom's reassurances, the girls were freaked out enough that they decided that they needed to hide the envelope somewhere that wasn't their dorm. That night, the girls walked through the halls of Alfea to the kitchen. They enter the kitchen and search for a place to hide it. They opted to hide it in the turnips because nobody likes them, except for Flora.
They tried to leave it at that and go back to bed, but none of them could resist the temptation, and they all snuck back into the kitchen. Flora, Musa, Tecna and Stella snuck around the kitchen, trying to locate the envelope in the dark. Tecna looked near the trash can but falls onto it because she was startled, along with the rest of the girls, when the lights were turned on by Bloom. Bloom laughed at the looks on their faces, getting the others to laugh too. They returned to their dorms, and Flora put the envelope in her end table. The Winx all agree to leave it there until they return it to Wizgiz in the morning, and they all go back to bed.
The next day, the girls were all nervous about going inside, but Tecna told the girls they should go in now because they were already late. She opened the door and walked in but stopped midway, extremely shocked. Stella ended up bumping into Tecna, and Flora asked why. Tecna told them to take a look, and they saw their fellow classmates looking irritated and messy. Wizgiz explained what happened and that the envelope was the test, and by not opening it, the Winx passed, which they cheered.
The Winx returned from the movies one night, and as they walked back to their dorm, Stella remarked how scary the movie was and that she still had chills. Tecna tried to comfort her by saying "it at least had a happy ending". Bloom kept talking about the movie, upsetting Flora, but Tecna wasn't paying them much attention, until she heard something and asked the others if they heard it too. Bloom dismissed it as Kiko's stomach, but Tecna was still suspicious and cautiously looked about the hall. The girls went straight to sleep and started having nightmares. In Tecna's dream, she dreamt of a deranged technological world where she was being drowned by the numbers and quickly woke up from it. Tecna realized Musa has half of her body off the bed and went to check on her, waking her up. The rest of the girls came in, having heard Tecna's scream. They began to realize something was going on, and Flora heard Mirta's voice. Flora used her magic to allow Mirta to speak to them, and she explained what was going on with them; they were attacked by a nightmare gargoyle sent by the Trix.
The next morning, Tecna, Musa, Stella, and Bloom discussed why the Trix sent the gargoyle after them. Tecna pointed out that Bloom had a theory but wasn't saying what it was. Bloom admitted that she thought the Trix were targeting her specifically, and Tecna asked why. Bloom said that she wasn't exactly sure why but suspected they knew more about her past than she did. Stella didn't believe in Bloom's theory but rallied the group, and they came up with a plan to ambush the creature.
That night, they put their plan into action, transforming to fight it off. The monster attacked them with their nightmares and drained them. They chased it outside, where the Trix made their appearance. The monster and Trix had them beat, but luckily, Ms. Faragonda was woken up and was able to overload the monster and chase the witches away.
After Bloom hadn't heard from "Brandon" for several [periods of seven days], Stella, Flora and Bloom barged into Tecna and Musa's room, and Flora asked the two of them to talk some sense into Bloom because she wanted to go to the exhibition because she wants to see Brandon, the problem being that she didn't have an invitation. Stella asked if Bloom likes him, and at first, she denied it, saying that they are just friends, but Stella reasoned that if she does not like him, she would not be so desperate to see him, especially when it meant breaking the rules. It is then that Bloom somewhat confirmed her feelings for him but wanted to know how Brandon felt. With that, the girls decided to help her.
At Red Fountain, the girls were stopped by one of the guards. When questioned on their unauthorized visit to Red Fountain, they tried to fool the guard, but when that didn't work, they ran inside and hid around Red Fountain. By the time the girls regroup, they arrive at the exhibition just in time to learn the truth about Sky and Brandon.
The next day, the girls got chewed out by Ms. Faragonda and had lofty punishments leveed on them for what they did. Once they had all completed their punishments, Bloom gathered the girls and told them that she decided to leave Alfea. The rest of them tried to convince her not to, but Bloom made up her mind and left.
When the Trix stole the Dragon Flame from Bloom, the girls learned of Bloom's history and embarked on a mission to Domino to support Bloom as she searched for answers. There, she explored the abandoned, cold castle and learned more of what had transpired on the planet. After Bloom spoke with her sister, Daphne, and learned her biological parents were still alive somewhere, she regained her strength and determination. However, after returning from the mission, the Winx had to deal with another problem, a war against the Trix. They sought to conquer all of Magic Dimension, starting with the three schools and Magix. The Winx fought tirelessly as the Trix drew near her school, which also became a refuge for Cloud Tower and Red Fountain, she was ready to fight with all her might and when Bloom returned with Sky as they bought time for Ms. Griffin and her students to escape, she was overjoyed to be reunited with her friend who had also recovered her powers. Though the war was long, evil was defeated and she watched the Trix get sent to Fortress of Light for their crimes. She then attends the victory party with everyone.
Darkar[]
Tecna started her second year at Alfea, but before that, a celebration was held for Bloom to commemorate her defeating the Trix last year. But Bloom, knowing that her friends also were part of ending the war, had them join her. The celebration ended, and Tecna spent time with Timmy to show him how to "calibrate a simulator". The two rejoined their friends and explained where they had been, but their explanation is not bought by an amused Stella. After the boys left, Flora alerted her friends that something was in the trees, and an exhausted girl stumbled towards her and her friends, who then faints. As her friends gathered around the poor girl, trying to figure what happened to her, Tecna scanned her vitals and informed her friends that she is alright, just exhausted. Over the course of four days, Tecna and her friends stayed awake worried about the girl, Aisha. Though she tried to eventually get some sleep as classes are about to start.
Although Tecna was not there when Aisha woke up, she was told of what happened to her. Faragonda relayed some vital information regarding their new foe: he absorbs magical energy. Tecna realized that this new foe can use her power against her. Either way, the pixies were top priority and a mission was set to retrieve the imprisoned pixies at Darkar's Fortress. However, only Stella, Bloom, and Aisha were going. Tecna stayed behind because her technomagic would help them monitor the situation while the three carried out the mission. At the quad, Tecna and her friends waited for the Specialists to get there, as they were assisting in the mission. As it turned out, only Sky and Brandon were joining them in infiltrating Darkar's Fortress. Tecna found the situation amusing and jokingly told Aisha that she will need chaperone the two lovebird pairs. Riven and Timmy were also there but only to drop them off and pick them up from the castle.
When the mission started, Tecna began monitoring the situation while also being incredibly worried about her friends. There were times the signal fell off, and she had to reconnect. She and Musa then met Livy, the Pixie of Messages, who crashes into her palmtop. Livy then explained why she was there to request assistance from Alfea. She told Tecna and Musa her side of the story, which included the pixies that stayed behind. As it turned out, Livy was recovering from her head injury and knew something was wrong when her friends did not return from the Dark Forest. She was told by Aisha to stay hidden while she rescued the others. However, they were gone far too long and Livy was sent to Alfea to ask for help. As Livy relayed the story, she, Tecna, and Musa were unaware that Darkar was eavesdropping on their conversation.
Her friends successfully returned from their mission, with the pixies in tow, and Tecna finally met her bonded pixie, Digit, in person after talking in a chatroom. She was informed on who had imprisoned the pixies and Aisha, Lord Darkar, who not only wanted revenge on those who forced into deep slumber but also the universe's power. She noticed Faragonda was withholding the answer to what is being stolen and its importance.
Later that day, the Winx were called to the lake, where they found a massive stone sitting in the center. Tecna scanned it with her Omni-Detector bug and learned that it's neither mineral nor metal. Faragonda then tasked the girls to destroy the mysterious stone, but none of them were able to. Bloom remained to keep trying, but the rest of the girls returned to the dorms to shower. The girls were waiting in their dorm for Bloom when the lights went out because of the storm. They heard a knock, and Musa opened the door to the mysterious winged man carrying an unconscious Bloom. He explained why he was carrying her, and the girls let him take her to her room and thanked him before he left.
The next day, Faragonda called the girls to her office, where she properly introduced them to the winged man that saved the away team during their mission in Darkar's fortress, their new teacher, Professor Avalon. Faragonda then brought Avalon, the Winx and their classmates to the lake, where the mysterious stone still sat, where Avalon showed them the power of incantation magic by destroying the stone.
The Winx attended Red Fountain's reopening ceremony, curtesy of Avalon. He then left to meet up with Codatorta. As they watch their professor leave, they noticed the witches of Cloud Tower showing up. Tecna was rather irate that they are here, but Digit confirmed their invitations. Musa mentioned that she heard that the witches were invited as a goodwill gesture because they all fought together against the Trix and their army. The Winx then headed inside to wait for the Specialists. The girls listened to Codatorta's speech and watched the unveiling of the new school. During a break, the girls rested on some grass before their guys go up again, and Tecna and Digit played a video game. Brandon and Timmy came to get the girls because Riven and Sky's one-on-one match is about to start, and Tecna said that they'll meet up with them later. Timmy turned around, a little sad that Tecna wasn't really paying attention to him.
After losing to Digit, they got up to rejoin the group, only to run into Aisha and Musa. The two asked if they had seen someone run by, and Tecna responded in the negative. Digit checked the sensors, which picked up nothing. Musa told her that they were chasing Darcy, but Tecna reasoned that with all of the fairies here, they wouldn't want to enter the premise. Musa dropped the subject but still found it odd that she started running when they called her out. They then joined the others and sat to watch the boys duel. During the duels, something massive covered the sun. A monstered appeared and began terrorizing and destroying the stadium, and the girls transformed to fight it. They were able to defeat the monster once Tecna discovered its weak spot.
Tecna began to feel like something was off with Avalon. These suspicions made her question why Avalon was at Darkar's Fortress when her friends were being attacked by the Trix with their Gloomix powers. She also noticed that her friends had mentioned him having wings when they first encountered him. Tecna and Digit found it strange and so they conducted their own research. They found a book called Anthropomorphic Winged Monsters by the author Serius Facetus. It detailed the Creature of Destruction and, when the three planets align, he will bring doom; its description sounded very similar to that of Avalon. To add onto her suspicions, she had seen Avalon in many places, and he knew how many tulips and roses were missing from Alfea's garden. So she proceeded to expose him with her friends (except for Bloom) when he least expected it. She and her friends chased him, which causes him to reveal his wings, and when he was cornered, he growls and says, "You meddlesome fairies!" When Tecna blasted him and her friends (accidentally) to stop him, it's revealed that he was not the Creature of Destruction. The next day, she and her friends were in Faragonda's office with the professors to discuss her actions. She learned that the prophecy she had read was created by the writer, who was a comedian. Avalon explains his side, he uses his wings when he is in danger (such as being antagonistically chased by his students), the multiple Avalons were due to Wizgiz's experiment, and he knew how many number of flowers were missing because he was practicing a spell that enhances his sense of smell (which he will teach).
When Faragonda inquired about where Tecna had heard about this "famed" prophecy, she told her it was Serius Facetus. Faragonda chuckled and revealed that he was a comedian and made that prophecy up. She also told Tecna that just because something is published in a book and was popular, does not make it true. This was the lesson Avalon talked about in his class. Tecna realizes her mistake and is thoroughly embarrassed and disappointed in herself. She and her friends apologized to Avalon who then punished them with an exam.
After that ordeal, she went to Red Fountain with Bloom and Flora to support the former while she talked with Sky, but things turned bad when the Trix broke into the school to steal Red Fountain's codex. She and her friends are overpowered by the Trix's new powers. She witnessed Timmy surrendering to the Trix, allowing them to take the Red Fountain's codex, causing her to think of Timmy as being weak and a coward. Putting a strain on their relationship.
Faragonda finally answered the question of what was stolen, the codex. It became prevalent to explain to Tecna and her friends after Red Fountain's codex had been stolen and the pixies were under a homesickness spell, compelling them to return to Pixie Village, which would reveal where their codex is. If Darkar steals all parts of the codex, it will bring disaster. Tecna also learned that the other two pieces are hidden at Cloud Tower and Alfea. Because of the looming threat, classes and studies were amplified to prepare the students for an impending attack against their school.
The girls began their convergence training, and Tecna and Flora were paired up together, but their convergence was not working. Faragonda explained that, in order to achieve a successful convergence, one must not only understand their magic but also their true essence. Faragonda also explained to the girls that they will be tested on convergence the next day in the simulator room. The girls decided a slumber party is a great way to strengthen their bonds.
The day of the convergence test, Faragonda laid out the girls' agenda from the simulator's operating room: in a village on a bright, quiet, summer day, several puzzles needed to be solved by convergence. And with that, the simulation began. However, the setting the girls are placed in was the complete opposite. Everything was disorderly and Tecna noticed that it was a system bug but wondered about its sudden appearance. Palladium was also uncertain as to why and the simulator is not functioning properly and, when he tried to shut it down, discovers that the environment was burned into hard memory, meaning it could not be shut down and the girls couldn't be removed from the dangerous situation. However, Palladium saw that while they cannot manipulate the simulator's memory, he can add something. He informed the girls about an exit code that he put into the system and told them to look for it. They found the exit program, but according to Palladium, there was a strong magical inference. Darcy revealed herself as responsible and had a monster from the simulation eat the exit program.
The Winx transformed to fight the monster but learned that magical attacks have no affect on it but physical attacks do. They made a titan of their own, and each of the girls gave it its abilities: Aisha made the body, Flora gave it support, Tecna gave it a brain, Stella gave it sight, and Bloom gave it a will of its own. The girls were then informed by Palladium that in order to exit the simulator, an incantation must be spoken. So, when their titan subdued the monster and reached into the exit program, Musa gave their titan speech, allowing them to succeed, passing their test. Faragonda explained what happened and removed the hypnosis on Jared.
Tecna visited Earth for the first time to attend her first Halloween party, courtesy of Bloom's enemy, Mitzi. Though Tecna and her friends were the targets of Mitzi's prank, it eventually backfired onto the latter when the pixies intervened and scared her instead. In the end, it was a fun party.
After the Trix had successfully stolen Red Fountain's codex, the Winx were sent to Cloud Tower to learn about witchcraft and help protect its codex. When they got set up at Cloud Tower, Tecna and Bloom were paired. When Tecna uses her technomagic to find the Codex, the Trix froze her, allowing them to find the location of it first. But what Tecna actually found was not the Codex room, but the heart of Cloud Tower, devastating Tecna because her calculations were wrong. There was no time to waste, as the Trix were nearing the codex location. And when they did, the Winx sought to stop them with convergence. Only, it failed because each person were struggling with each other. Their frustrations with each other prevented absolute harmony and understanding, causing the convergence to backfire onto them, losing the Codex to the Trix in the process.
In the Wildland, when they are attacked by the bewitched animals, Timmy came up with a plan, but Tecna had no faith in him, but her faith in him returned after she saw that he could be brave and admitted to judging him based on "surface data".
She and the rest of the Winx learned that Professor Avalon was Darkar's spy when the real Avalon, who was kept as Darkar's prisoner, escaped and informed Faragonda. To make matters worse, the spy had kidnapped Bloom. So, she and her friends set out to save her. The Winx and Specialists to the Under Realm and solved a puzzle involving colors that would allow them to access Relix and save Bloom. The Winx succeeded in defeating Darkar by using convergence.
Valtor[]
During the school break, Stella's father threw her a princess ball, where her father announced he will be remarrying. The bride-to-be was the wicked Countess Cassandra, who came with her daughter, Chimera. With the help of Valtor, Cassandra put King Radius under a spell, and Stella was spelled by Chimera, turning her into a hideous beast. Under the influence of Cassandra, her father refused to recognize her as his daughter and sicked the guards on her, forcing the Winx to flee. They were able to free Stella from her curse by taking to to the Mirror of Truth, but her father was still under Cassandra's thrall, effectively bashing her and the Winx from Solaria.
Later, once everything had a chance to calm down for five minutes, Stella realized that she had lost her ring, leaving the girls unable to teleport outside of the limited range of the Interplanetary Transit System. Tecna, being the genius she is, was able to quickly remedy the situation by creating a portal device that created small, interdimensional passages.
As the year went on, the negative energy escaping from the open Omega Portal clashing with the energy of Andros continued to destabilize both worlds. The Winx arrived on world to seal the portal. The Winx and Aisha's father worked together to get Taboc to the portal, but he lost the scroll with the spell to close the portal in the vortex. Without the scroll, the only way to close it was from the inside. Aisha and Bloom tried to do it, but they couldn't get past the vortex. Tecna was able to calculate the right timing to get past the vortex, allowing her to enter the portal. Due to the Zenithian settlements on the planet, this action earned her her Enchantix, and she used her fairy dust to close the portal, but she was also sucked into the portal.
She landed in the Omega Dimension, where she spent the next several days. Her species evolved on an ice world, but the Omega Dimension was another beast. She could survive the extreme cold for a few hours thanks to her feathers, but she had to find a way to keep warm, get food, avoid the escaped convicts, and send a signal out. The convicts, even the ones from herbivore species, had resorted to eating each other to stay alive. Tecna wasn't that desperate yet, but it did leave her with plenty of bodies to scavenge from. Zenithian cybernetics are a pretty common item on the black market, so she had plenty of familiar and advanced technology to work with and create everything she'd need to survive until she was rescued.
During one of her scouting missions, she encountered two unknowns, and one of them threw a boomerang at her. She threatened them if they were to try it again, but the turned out to be Bloom and Sky. The girls tearfully reunited, and Tecna was informed that the rest of the Winx and Specialists had come looking for her before them, so they went to search for their missing friends. They found the boys being held prisoner and the girls cornered by a serpent. Tecna transformed, freed the boys, and did battle with the snake, and Bloom joined in after her Enchantix was stabilized by Musa's fairy dust, allowing them all to escape.
After that whole ordeal, the girls went to relax in Magix City for the day, but Valtor had the worst timing. Valtor broke into the Museum of Magix to steal the Agador Box and, despite the Winx's and Nabu's (then disguised as Ophir) intervention, managed to get hold of it and escape. Tecna and the girls later trained with the Specialists on how to ride wind riders in order to infiltrate the wedding.
In order to defeat Valtor, the Winx venter to the Golden Kingdom to obtain the Water Stars. In order to prove they were worthy, Arcadia put three of the girls, Tecna, Musa, and Stella through tests of choice. Tecna's test was whether she was willing to sacrifice her emotions for the greater good. Although it was a difficult choice, Tecna chose the greater good and had her emotions taken away, turning her into a purely logical being. As all three girls had proven they were worthy, Arcadia returned her emotions.
With the Water Stars in hand, the girls launch one final attack on Valtor, but before they could reach him, Tecna, Stella, Musa, and Bloom had to fight off incompletely doppelgangers of their boyfriends. Tecna had fought off a wind monster Timmy created from the Spell of the Elements, before regrouping with the others for Valtor's final defeat.
The Secret of the Lost Kingdom[]
With Valtor defeated and the Magical Dimension safe, Tecna and the rest of the Winx joined Bloom in her search for her biological parents. The girls sought out Hagen, the swordsmith who forged the Sword of Oritel, but after a small skirmish, he stated that he was unable to help Bloom in any way. She later helps to defend Alfea from Mandragora's attack and helped hold off the forces of evil long enough for Bloom and Sky to free Domino, releasing the planet from its nearly two decades of imprisoned stasis.
Fairy Hunters[]
Tecna, along with the rest of the Winx girls, accepted an invitations from Faragonda to teach at Alfea, creating a class Tecna dubbed "Winxology". As part of their class, the girls put together an obstacle course that Aisha, Bloom, and Flora would go through to demonstrate the power of Enchantix, but during the course, Flora was injured due to a prank by a student. During the investigation, Tecna located a fireball made of "Blastophosphorate" (as she stated it was made of this chemical compound). The box of the explosive came in was found in the backpack of a student named Alice, who proclaimed she was innocent, but Tecna did not believe a word of her pleas. Once the Wizards of the Black Circle showed up, Tecna was just as easily defeated by them until the wizards decided to leave, realizing Bloom was not who they were looking for. Afterward, Tecna finally believed Alice after her friend Clarice confessed to the crime.
Faragonda then told the Winx about the Earth Fairies and how the Wizards of the Black Circle made themselves immune to fairy magic and captured almost all of them, causing magic to almost disappear from Earth. The others were disturbed by the fairy hunters, but it made Tecna physically ill due to her own planet's history of witch/fairy hunts. Faragonda also told them the dire consequences that could befall Earth if they capture that last Earth Fairy, but she also told them about a form that can grant them the magic to defeat the wizards called "Believix".
The Winx made a journey to Earth to find the last fairy of Earth. They stayed in Gardenia with Bloom's adoptive parents, Mike and Vanessa, but quickly realized that they needed to get jobs. To do so, they needed last names. Zenith used numerical codes, similar to SNNs, as an analogous to surnames, but that wouldn't work on Earth. Bloom recommended a few names she thought were fitting, and Tecna picked the one that could most easily be translated into her language.
In one of these jobs, Flora brought several of the stuffed animals to life, creating the fairy pets, and the girls decided to try reintroducing Earth to magic through these creatures. Vanessa helped them kickstart their new business, Love & Pet, which also served as their home. As Bloom was the only legal citizen of the country, she became the owner, and the rest of the girls were employees. Tecna runs their online accounts and created the Winx Club Website in order to help their pets get adopted.
Personality[]
During her time at Alfea, she tried to maintain her culture, showing little emotion and using straightforward logic, but she eventually had to admit to herself and her friends that her time with the Winx has caused her to more easily lose control. She began embracing her emotions, eventually coming to value them. Another person involved in this process was Timmy. He made her realize that she was self-determinist, which makes her queer in Zenithian society.
